  The groundbreaking ceremony has now taken place for the facility that Logicenters is developing in Køge, Denmark. The cross-dock terminal will be leased to BHS Logistics, with whom the logistics property company signed an agreement earlier this year. The terminal will have an area of 6,700 m² and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2022.

  During 2021, it was announced that Danish transport and logistics company BHS Logistics will be the first tenant at Logicenters’ new facility in Køge, just south of Copenhagen. At the Skandinavisk Transport Center logistics park, where the BHS Logistics terminal is located, Logicenters will develop additional logistics space of 60,000 m². The new facilities will be developed in line with Logicenters’ ambitious sustainability goals with the opportunity to install solar cells to generate renewable energy.

  “We are very proud to announce that development of the terminal for BHS Logistics is now under way. Like us, BHS Logistics has ambitious sustainability goals; the terminal will be adapted to meet these goals and to streamline its logistics operations. We look forward to welcoming our first tenant into the facility in Køge, Denmark,” says Thomas Petersen, Commercial Manager at Logicenters.

  The facility in Køge is strategically located for logistics and transport with close proximity to the port of Køge and major motorways such as the E20, E55 and E47.

  Logicenters has signed a long-term lease with its first tenant at its new facility in Køge, Denmark. The tenant is Danish transport company BHS Logistics and the lease is for a cross-docking terminal with an area of 6,900 m².  The company is scheduled to move into the property on 1 June 2022.

  It has been announced that BHS Logistics, a Danish transport and logistics company, will be Logicenters’ first tenant at its new facility on Egedesvej in Køge, Denmark, just south of Copenhagen. The lease is for a cross-docking terminal with modern warehousing and office space measuring 6,900 m² at the Skandinavisk Transport Center logistics park. In addition to the space to be leased by BHS, Logicenters is also planning to develop a further 60,000 m² of logistics space in the area.

  “We are delighted to welcome BHS Logistics to our new facility in Køge, which will be completed in the first half of 2022. The property will be an ultra-modern and sustainable logistics facility that will meet BHS’ ambitious sustainability goals and improve the efficiency of its logistics operations”, says Matthias Kettelhoit, Head of Logicenters.

  In 2020, Logicenters acquired land at the Skandinavisk Transport Center logistics park with the aim of strengthening its presence in Denmark. In line with Logicenters’ ambitious sustainability goals, the new property is being developed with a strong focus on sustainability. As well as the option of installing solar panels on the roof to generate renewable energy for the property, Logicenters undertook a number of studies and implemented measures to optimise the environmental impact of the property even prior to the start of construction.

  “We have long had a desire to develop and consolidate our activities in the Copenhagen region, where there is also potential for us to further upgrade our pharmacy set-up in order to maintain our leading position in pharmaceutical transport. We chose Køge because it is a central hub. This is due in part to the surrounding motorway network with good conditions for emergency medical vehicles, but also because the area is a hub for all our traffic to and from Bornholm. This puts us in the best position for more efficient logistics, which ultimately means better service for our customers”, says Morten Studsgaard, CEO at BHS Logistics.

  The groundbreaking ceremony has now taken place for Logicenters’ 16,000 m² facility in Køge, south of Copenhagen, Denmark. The property, which is being built on speculation, is being developed with a strong focus on sustainability and is scheduled for completion in early 2022.

  In 2020, Logicenters acquired a 160,000 m² lot of land at Skandinavisk Transport Center, a Danish logistics park in Køge, south of Copenhagen. The logistics property company is planning to develop facilities for a total of 68,000 m² at the park. The first phase has now been initiated with the development of a 16,000 m² logistics facility, which is being built on speculation and is scheduled for completion in spring 2022. In line with Logicenters’ ambitious sustainability goals, available options will include the installation of solar panels on the roof of the facility.

  Its proximity to Copenhagen and Malmö makes Køge a strategic hub for logistics and transport, especially as the E20, E55 and E47 motorways all pass through Køge. In addition, the port of Køge is only three kilometres away, giving easy access to excellent marine transport via the Baltic Sea.

  With the ambition to switch to 100 percent renewable electricity in its operations before 2025, Logicenters is now ramping up its efforts by installing solar panels on six more of its facilities. This means that Logicenters will be doubling the number of solar plants compared to today. It is estimated that the solar panels will generate a total of 9 gigawatt hours of electricity annually.

  Logicenters has recently signed an agreement to install solar plants at six of its facilities across the Nordic region. Logicenters currently has solar plants on seven of its properties. With the installations now being carried out, Logicenters will be doubling the number of solar plants installed on its facilities. It is estimated that the solar cells will have a total capacity of up to 10,000 kWp and will produce 9 gigawatt hours of electricity on an annual basis. This is equivalent to the energy required to supply 1,800 homes with electricity for an entire year.

  For example, Logicenters and its tenant Speed Group are currently installing the Nordic region’s largest rooftop solar plant in Borås, Sweden. At this property alone, the solar cells cover a roof area of 60,000 m² and have a capacity of 5,000 kWp.

It is of the utmost priority to us that we reduce our climate footprint as much as possible while simultaneously securing the future energy needs of our tenants. By installing solar cells on our roofs, we can also utilise very large areas not normally in use, instead of taking up land that may be better suited for other things”, says Matthias Kettelhoit, Head of Logicenters.

  As the leading developer and owner of modern logistics facilities in the Nordic region, Logicenters also wants to manage the transition to renewable energy within the logistics industry. Through NREP, Logicenters has become affiliated with RE100, a global coalition of companies committed to renewable energy. Consequently, Logicenters is undertaking to switch to using 100 percent renewable electricity throughout the company’s property portfolio before 2025.

  Groundbreaking has now taken place in Køge, south of Copenhagen, where Logicenters is developing a 35,000 m² logistics property. The tenant who will be moving into the facility is PostNord TPL upon its completion, with which the logistics facility provider signed a lease earlier this year. 

  In July earlier this year, Logicenters announced that they had signed a lease with PostNord TPL in Køge, just south of Copenhagen. The agreement involved the development of a 35,000 m² logistics facility which is planned to be ready for PostNord to move into in the autumn of 2021. And now the groundbreaking ceremony for the new property has taken place.

  “We are very proud to be able to further deepen our partnership with PostNord TPL. This groundbreaking is extra special for us since we are the ones who will serve as the developer for construction of this facility. I am certain that PostNord will be happy with its new facility that meets all their needs”, says Matthias Kettelhoit, Head of Logicenters.

  The property will have a clear focus on sustainability and will be prepared for the installation of solar cells on the roof of the property as well as being BREEAM certified. This is in line with Logicenters’ strategy to develop sustainable facilities with lower carbon emissions and energy consumption.

  Logicenters is experiencing a strong expansion phase and is in the process of strengthening its team significantly. To support the logistics property company’s continued growth and ambitious goals, Logicenters has acquired six new employees. These include a Sustainability Manager in order to further strengthen Logicenters’ work on sustainability.

  Logicenters is today the leading developer and long-term owner of modern and sustainable logistics properties in the Nordic region. Over the past decade, Logicenters has been the most active developer of logistics properties with more than 25 completed projects and over 600,000 square metres of logistics space. Logicenters is now a Nordic team with offices in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

  The flourishing e-commerce sector over recent years is just one of the reasons why Logicenters has enjoyed a continued increase in its real estate holdings and strong organisational growth. In order to keep pace with this rate of growth, Logicenters is now reinforcing its team by adding a number of new positions. This includes two new Commercial Managers – Ruben Krantz in Norway and Fredrik Nygren in Sweden.

  Logicenters, who are connected to RE100 through NREP, also has high sustainability goals and are working continuously to make its properties more energy efficient. For example, earlier this year, construction began on what will be the Nordic region’s largest rooftop solar cell plant, in terms of both area and capacity. Karin most recently worked at Nordic Property Management as a Project Sustainability Manager.

  Logicenters has acquired a 160,000 m2 site at the Danish logistics park, Skandinavisk Transport Center, in Køge to the south of Copenhagen. The land has been sold by Køge municipality and the acquisition has been undertaken as part of the municipality’s expansion plans for the existing logistics park. This logistics park is one of Denmark’s largest and it will continue to grow as Logicenters establishes itself in the area.

  Logicenters develops and owns modern logistics facilities in the Nordic region. The logistics company is now looking to grow further in the Öresund region through the acquisition of a site in Køge, Denmark. The land has been sold by Køge municipality, with the site forming part of the municipality’s long-term expansion plans for the Skandinavisk Transport Center logistics park. The area is approximately 160,000 m² in size, with Logicenters’ buildings scheduled to account for around 70,000 m² of this.

  “The Öresund region is an enormously competitive and growing region. Our presence in Køge is key to strengthening Logicenters’ position as a leading logistics player in the Nordic region. The undeveloped land gives us the opportunity to meet the needs of potential tenants for a modern logistics property. We will work with the tenant to develop and customise the property. We are happy that Køge municipality recognises the opportunities here and is allowing us to invest in the area,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, Head of Logicenters.

  The proximity to Copenhagen and Malmö makes the Skandinavisk Transport Center a strategic location for logistics and transport, especially as the E20, E55 and E47 motorways all pass through Køge. A newly built railway station near the logistics park also provides excellent options for commuting to and from Copenhagen. In addition, the port of Køge is only three kilometres away, ideally located on the Baltic Sea, in close proximity to the Baltic countries. In the future, the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link will also connect Køge to Germany and the rest of Europe.

  The Danish logistics company Godshotel is moving into one of Logicenters’ properties in Greve, Denmark. The logistics property company has already signed a lease with Godshotel for a property measuring just over 30,000 m². The lease commences on 1 September 2020 and the company will be taking over the property from Flying Tiger, which will vacate the premises at the end of August.

  Godshotel Lager & Transport has a rapidly growing presence in the warehousing, packaging and transport solutions sector in Denmark and will move into Logicenters’ property at Ventrupparken 2 in Greve. This logistics area is attractively located on Zealand, 25 km from the centre of Copenhagen. The property in question has been constructed in two stages with a total area of 30,142 m². The high-quality facility is an ideal base for a modern logistics company.

  “The fact that Godshotel is choosing to move into one of our properties is proof that we are developing and supplying top-class logistics facilities at attractive addresses. Godshotel will move into a property with all the specifications required to operate a modern and efficient logistics business at an address with direct proximity to the E20 motorway and Copenhagen. The agreement includes the development of a 35,000 m² logistics property in Køge, just outside Copenhagen, which PostNord TPL will move into. The property is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in the autumn of 2021.

  Logicenters is continuing to develop and strengthen its presence at strategic logistics hubs in the Nordic region and is now significantly extending its presence in Køge on Zealand, Denmark. The logistics property company has now signed a new lease with PostNord TPL, which also involves the development of a new 35,000 m² facility. The TPL property is scheduled to be ready for completion and occupancy in the autumn of 2021. Logicenters will serve as the developer for this project and this time will bring its trusted Swedish contractors across the strait.

  Logicenters recently completed its modern cross-dock facility in Greve, just outside Copenhagen. It will now work together with tenant Bring in Denmark to install a 1,950 m² solar cell plant on the roof of the facility. It is estimated that the solar cells will generate around 300,000 KWh of power annually.

  In early 2019, groundbreaking took place for Logicenters’ modern cross-dock facility at Ventrupparken 4, Greve, outside Copenhagen, and the almost 14,000 m² facility has recently been completed. As a further step in strengthening the property’s environmental profile, Logicenters is now working with the tenant Bring in Denmark to install solar cells on the roof. In total, the solar cells will cover a roof area of 1,950 m² and it is estimated that they will generate around 300,000 KWh of power annually.

  “Climate investment is extremely important to us and we always strive to be at the forefront of developments in sustainability. That is why we are proud to now be installing a large solar cell plant on our property in Greve. We are also pleased that Bring in Denmark shares our ambitions for sustainability and we look forward to making this investment together,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, Head of Logicenters.

  Last year, Logicenters joined RE100 through NREP. RE100 is a global coalition committed to 100 % renewable energy. During the same period, energy audits were also conducted at several of Logicenters properties, with the results showing great potential for savings. By streamlining energy consumption at the properties, energy costs could be reduced by up to one third.

  “Bring has ambitious environmental goals, working to be fossil-free in all our operations by 2025. Working with Logicenters to install Bring’s largest solar cell plant to date was therefore a natural progression for us. The facility will enable us to use direct solar power for our transport as we are also investing in electric vehicles for our distribution network,” says Jonas Olsson, facility manager at Bring in Denmark.  

  The solar cells on the building’s roof will have an electrical capacity of 354 KWp. The installation is being carried out by Better Energy and is scheduled for completion by the end of Q3 2020. Earlier this year, construction also began on the Nordic region’s largest rooftop solar cell plant at one of Logicenters’ logistics facilities just outside of Gothenburg, Sweden.
