Logicenters develops 12 000 m2 for Jobman in Enköping

Enköping’s Business Park continues to grow. It’s now clear that Logicenters will continue its establishment in the area where it will develop 12,200 m2 for Jobman Workwear AB. The facility will be ready in the first quarter of 2024.

In line with increasing demand for efficient logistics, Logicenters is involved in developing Enköping’s Business Park, just north-east of the central city. A lease has now been signed with Jobman Workwear AB to develop an additional 12,200 m2 in the area, where the workwear company will become a long-term tenant.

“The geographic location at the E18 with close connections to Stockholm and the entire Mälardalen opens for efficient logistics with a favorable rental situation compared to Stockholm’s locations. We are very happy about the collaboration with Jobman and looking forward to accompanying them on their continued expansion journey”, says Victoria Ödmark, Commercial Manager at Logicenters.

Jobman Workwear has worked since 1975 to develop workwear for professionals with high demands. Durability has always been – and will always be – the company’s hallmark as it is one of the leading companies in its industry.

Logicenters signs lease for 17,800 m2 logistics building with Vinhuset in Vestby

At the Vestby Logistics Park, south of Oslo, NREP Logicenters has now signed a lease agreement with Vinhuset, which is owned by NorgesGruppen. The object of the lease is the 17,800 m² logistics facility Stormåsan 42.
Vinhuset expects to take up residence in September 2023.

It has been announced that Logicenters has signed a lease agreement with Vinhuset Vestby Logistics Park in the Oslo region. The long-term lease agreement is for 17,800 m² in one of Logicenters’ newly developed properties in Vestby, Stormåsan 42. Vinhuset will lease the entire property, totalling 17,800 m². The plot as a whole measures 27,000 m².

Since 2018, NREP Logicenters has developed a total of 135,000 m² of BTA logistics buildings in Vestby, spread across sites measuring 260,000 m².

NREP Logicenters has leased out all its property in Vestby and is now on the lookout for new development opportunities in the region.The lease was signed just before the end of the year, but for the sake of employees and customers has not been made public until now. The property will be very well adapted to Vinhuset’s operations and equipped for future growth. The building will have a clear environmental profile, certified BREEAM Very Good. Solar cells will be installed on the roof and there will be a charging station for electric trucks and cars.

Logicenters develops 38,000 m2 for Alfaroc in Tuusula

Logicenters will develop a state-of-the-art facility of 38,000 m2 in Tuusula, just north of Helsinki, for Alfaroc Logistics Oy. The property is expected to be ready in the third quarter of 2024.

The logistics property operator continues its investment in expanding its presence around Helsinki. It is now clear that Logicenters has signed an agreement with Alfaroc Logistics Oy to begin construction of a state-of-the-art facility of 38,000 m2 in Tuusula, just north of the capital.

The new property will be developed in line with Logicenter’s ambitious sustainability goals and will include geothermal energy and rooftop solar panels. The facility is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2024.

Alfaroc Logistics Oy is one of Finland’s largest outsourcing service providers within internal logistics and warehousing. The company offers services to industrial and retail companies, importers, and online stores.

Logicenters to install solar cells across 800,000 m2

Logicenters is continuing to concentrate on a sustainable future. To lead the move towards a carbon-neutral sector, the company has decided to more than double its ownership of solar cell installations in the coming years.

With a sustainability goal to be completely carbon neutral by 2028, Logicenters has decided to pioneer the use of renewable energy at its facilities.
The decision has been made to cover roofs with solar panels on all new builds and to install them on existing roofs where possible.

In total, Logicenters aims to install around 800,000 m2 of solar cells over the next three years. This area is equivalent to a total of 133 football pitches. In total, this investment would generate potential annual production of 85,000 MWh, sufficient household electricity for more than the whole of Östersund (24,290 households).

“The logistics property sector has the necessary conditions and therefore a responsibility to take a leading role in the expansion of solar energy on our large roof areas. We are also building for tomorrow, when solar power will be used to charge the electric distribution vehicles of the future. It is here that we at Logicenters feel we can make a big difference,” says Jon Malmsten, solar energy expert at Logicenters.

Over the last year, this ambitious solar cell strategy has already seen construction of the largest roof-mounted solar plant in the Nordic region, covering 80,000 m2. The plant was built for Dagab in Bålsta and is set to become operational in March.

“For me, it goes without saying that we should continue our commitment to solar energy for a carbon-neutral tomorrow. The property sector continues to account for 40% of global emissions and there is an urgent need to find better ways both to develop and to operate properties. Logicenters leases to DS Smith in Pirkkala

Logicenters has developed its property in Pirkkala, Finland, which will be completed by the end of February. It has now been announced that international packaging company DS Smith will move into the facility as the tenant.

Logicenters’ extended facility in Pirkkala, Finland, just outside Tampere, has a new tenant. British product packaging company DS Smith will move into the property in March 2023. The building has been built in accordance with Logicenters’ sustainability profile and is environmentally certified according to Breeam Very Good. The facility is fitted with solar cells and is heated using geothermal energy.

DS Smith is a leading global provider of environmentally sustainable packaging solutions, paper products and recycling services. The new premises in Pirkkala will enable it to streamline its operations and strengthen its position outside Tampere.

Logicenters leases 13,000 m2 to Bedrocan in Køge

The logistics property company is continuing to develop its presence in the Copenhagen region. It has been announced that Bedrocan, a supplier of medical cannabis, will lease 13,000 m² in Køge.

Two years ago, Logicenters acquired 160,000 m² of land at the Danish logistics park, Skandinavisk Transport Center, in Køge, south of Copenhagen. The logistics property company is planning to develop facilities totalling 68,000 m² in the park, which is now beginning to be filled with future tenants.

A long-term lease agreement has been signed between Logicenters and the Dutch company Bedrocan to lease 13,000 m² in Egedesvej C, with occupancy scheduled to take place on 1 May 2023.

“We are delighted to end the year by entering into a long-term lease with Bedrocan. Our state-of-the-art and sustainable logistics facility will truly accommodate Bedrocan’s need to streamline its logistics operations on the Danish market. We look forward to welcoming our new tenant in the spring,” says Thomas Petersen, Commercial Manager at Logicenters.

Bedrocan is the world’s most experienced producer of medical cannabis. Its high-quality cannabis is used worldwide by patients, drug developers and researchers. It operates two indoor growing facilities in the Netherlands and now one in Denmark (Køge). Bedrocan does not produce cannabis for recreational use.

Skandinavisk Transport Center’s proximity to the E20, E55 and E47 European motorways offers geographical benefits. Køge is also very close to Copenhagen and the port of Køge. Other major companies with a presence in the area include Lidl, Netto, Bring and Movianto.

Magda Twarowska joins Logicenters Poland as Head of Commercial

Logicenters in Poland, the logistics arm of NREP, began the year by welcoming new Head of Commercial to the team. Magda Twarowska will be responsible for managing tenant relations and leasing activities, covering the standing assets and projects held by NREP NSF IV portfolio company, BIK S.A.

Logicenters is a logistics platform owned by Nordic investor NREP, it’s first investment within the logistics segment was the acquisition of BIK SA, a local logistics real estate investor and developer. The company has a portfolio of four standing assets with two potential extensions plus a land plot. The potential footprint is more than 130.000 square meters. Defining leasing strategy, leading leasing negotiations, acquiring new tenants for existing assets and development projects, supporting Logicenters tenants from The Nordics to expand and consolidate their leasing space requirements in Poland are the main challenges Magda Twarowska will take on in her new role in Logicenters. Magda brings over a decade of commercial real estate experience to the team, backed by numerous successes in the area of logistics leasing.

Logicenters acquires food distribution property in south-Oslo region

Logicenters continues growing in Norway. The logistics property operator has acquired a fully let distribution facility of 5,900 m2 in Drøbak, just south of Oslo, with a plan to further develop the property.

Last week Logicenters announced its expanding presence in Norway through the acquisition of a last mile property in Skytta, just north of Oslo’s city limits. The logistics property operator’s investment around the capital area continues as it has now acquired a fully let facility in Drøbak, in the south corridor to Oslo.

Logicenter’s new property, Holterkollveien 3, of 5,900 m2 is already fully let, but holds the possibility of further developing more logistics premises on the property. Logicenters plans to start development within the next two years.

“We at Logicenters are very pleased to be able to continue our investment in the Norwegian logistics market, where the Oslo region is the country’s primary starting point. The proximity to the southbound route to Sweden is a great fit for tenants with cross-border operations in Sweden,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, CEO at Logicenters.

The property is used as a food-distribution facility, currently let with the long-term tenant Foodbroker AS who is a part of DLVRY Group.

Logicenters signs lease with DB Schenker for 25,600 m2

DB Schenker is Logicenters’ new long-term tenant in Nurmijärvi, Finland. The global logistics provider has signed a lease for 25,600 m2 and will take up residence when the property is completed in 2023.

In the summer of 2021, Logicenters acquired 51,000 m2 of land in Nurmijärvi, Finland, for the purposes of developing modern logistics. The logistics property company has now announced that it has found its first tenant for the facility – Schenker Oy, the Finnish subsidiary of DB Schenker, one of the world’s leading suppliers of global logistics services for industry and trade.

A long-term lease agreement has been signed with Logicenters to lease the entire property with a total area of 25,600 m2.

“We are delighted to welcome DB Schenker to our new facility in Nurmijärvi, just 20 minutes from central Helsinki. The property offers customised solutions with modern logistics in line with Logicenters’ ambitious environmental goals,” says Jarkko Äikää, Commercial Manager at Logicenters.

The property, Ilvesvuorenkatu 8, will be completed in the second quarter of 2023 and will have BREEAM Very Good sustainability certification. The facility will also offer geothermal energy and solar power generated by rooftop panels.

“We are very excited to start working with Logicenters. The new warehouse building complements our neighboring Ilvesvuori warehouse, which was commissioned in 2012. Nurmijärvi is part of the capital region of Finland, strategically located close to both Helsinki- Vantaa international airport and the E12 European motorway. The area is already home to companies such as DB Schenker and the location offers good transport links to both Helsinki and Tampere.

NREP Logicenters acquires last mile asset in the Oslo region

Logicenters continues growing their presence in Norway with a new acquisition. The logistics branch of the Nordic real estate investor NREP has recently acquired a logistics building in Skytta, slightly north of the Oslo city limit. The property is currently undergoing an extension and an upgrade and will upon completion in May 2023 have a total leasable area of 17 000 sqm.

Previously this year, NREP Logicenters acquired their first logistics property beyond the greater Oslo region as they acquired three properties at Løvåsmyra in the Mid-Norwegian city Trondheim. A month later, the company also closer their acquisition of the new ODA distribution center west of Oslo at Liertoppen. Now Logicenters has done another transaction in the Norwegian market, by acquiring a last-mile distribution center in the Oslo region, Brennavegen 20. The seller is a JV-setup between LED Eiendom AS and Furuholmen Eiendomsutvikling, who bought the property in early 2021, and are now extending the building with two new tenants.

Upon completion of the ongoing extension, the property will be 17 000 sqm, which is distributed between four different tenants. The existing building mass is let to Nittedal municipality and Andvord, whereas the new areas are let to the seafood players, Filetfabrikken and Domstein, who are expected to move in by May 2023.
