Logicenters is acquiring land in Vantaa, Finland, just north of the city centre of Helsinki, where it will develop a facility for DSV Solutions Oy. The Danish logistics company has signed a long-term lease where planned occupancy takes place in the second quarter of 2024.
The new property will be built based on Logicenter’s sustainable profile with the environmental certification Breeam Very Good and will be equipped with, among other things, solar cells on the roof. The facility will have a total area of 11,000 m2.
“This will be a perfect start to the new year. We are very happy to have found a perfect solution for DSV and look forward to a long-term collaboration together. With the development of the new modern logistics facility, Logicenters is expanding its presence in the Helsinki region, which is the country’s primary starting point,” says Jarkko Äikää, Commercial Manager at Logicenters.
DSV is the world’s third largest logistics company, which is now expanding its presence in the Vantaa area. The new property is located approximately 500 m from the company’s already existing logistics center, which was put into operation in 2019.
” Above all, we are satisfied with the fine collaboration together with Logicenters, who really had the ability to adapt their facility to our needs. Once the property is in place, it will be a perfect opportunity for us at DSV to expand our logistics operations in Vantaa, close to the heart of the capital region, with good connections to all of Finland,” says CEO Jan Magnus Nordberg of DSV Solutions Oy.
The logistics center will be built near Ring III, where you can easily reach Helsinki and other major cities in the southern parts of Finland. The property is also only ten minutes by car from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
