The groundbreaking ceremony has now taken place for the central warehouse which Logicenters is developing in Bålsta outside Stockholm. The warehouse will be leased to Dahl, which the logistics company signed a contract with in December 2020. The facility will measure 73,000 m2 in area and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023. Logicenters will also become the owner of Dahl’s current logistics facility in Kallhäll.
In December 2020, Logicenters announced that it had signed an agreement with HVAC wholesaler Dahl Sverige AB for a new warehouse in Bålsta, Håbo municipality. The lease is for the development of a 73,000 m2 logistics facility which also includes a fully automated high-bay warehouse. Construction is now under way on the new warehouse space, which is scheduled to become operational in the second quarter of 2023.
“We are delighted that the traditional groundbreaking ceremony has now taken place for Dahl’s new logistics facility in Bålsta. I am confident that Dahl will thrive at its new location and we look forward to welcoming it to its new facility in Håbo municipality,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, CEO at Logicenters.
Logicenters has also acquired Dahl’s current 45,000 m2 logistics facility located in Kallhäll, in the neighbouring municipality of Järfälla. Dahl will continue to operate from this property until the new central warehouse has been completed in Bålsta. There are also development opportunities for Logicenters in Kallhäll with up to 12,000 m2 available in addition to the existing warehouse space.
“It is very gratifying that construction is now under way on our new warehouse in Bålsta. We would like to thank Logicenters for its excellent collaboration so far and we look forward to moving into our new modern and sustainable logistics facility in Bålsta,” says Göran Dahlin, CEO at Dahl Sverige AB.
In line with Logicenters’ high sustainability goals, the new facility in Bålsta will be environmentally certified in accordance with BREEAM Very Good. In addition, there will also be the opportunity to install solar cells on the roof. The area also offers good communications with proximity to the E18 motorway and Stockholm.
“We are very proud that Logicenters has now begun construction of the facility in our municipality. We believe this establishment will increase business in Håbo and generate more jobs. We would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome Dahl to Bålsta and we are confident that the company will benefit from the strategic location that we can offer in the region,” says Mattias Jonsgården, head of local government at Håbo municipality.
