Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych, BIK S.A., is a Polish logistics developer owned by investment fund Nrep NSF IV and supervised by Logicenters.
BIK S.A.’s new development in Silesian Logistics Park has secured a 9,000 m2 pre-lease with the experienced logistics operator CAT LC Polska Sp. z o.o., belonging to the French Groupe CAT, an international conglomerate. The project will convert a brown field into a sustainable, BREEAM certified, modern logistics asset. It will be equipped with photovoltaic installation and electric vehicle charging points and is planned to be completed in the beginning of 2025.
The cross-dock BTS facility will be designed and built according to the individual requirements of CAT LC Polska, who actively participates in adapting the facility to its business requirement.
“This is an important next milestone for our investment in BIK S.A., and forms part of the wider strategy that aims to build a larger, BREEAM certified portfolio that caters to the bespoke requirements of our customers in Southern Poland. The development in Sosnowiec will be the third and final phase of Silesian Logistics Park, and we are very pleased to see a continued leasing success by BIK S.A. by securing this prestigious lease agreement with CAT LC Polska”, says Søren Rodian Olsen, Managing Director of Logicenters Poland.
BIK Park Sosnowiec III is located in the immediate vicinity of the intersection of two key thoroughfares – the A4 freeway connecting Rzeszów with the western border of Poland and the eastern bypass of Silesia – the S1 Expressway leading through Cieszyn to Southern Europe, as well as past the Jaworzno Economic Area and upcoming Izera electric car factory.
“One of the reasons why we chose our new platform in Sosnowiec is its excellent location, which will allow us to further streamline our logistics processes. By developing the infrastructure and consolidating our two current warehouses in the Zagłębie area, Groupe CAT will have the opportunity to develop not only the distribution network, but also inbound logistics, thus increasing its competitiveness in the market. This decision is a symbolic confirmation of the stability and long-term development of the company, as well as part of our infrastructure development strategy. The facility will play a fundamental role in our transport network in Poland, which will enable the company to expand into the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary and become our southern hub for Groupe CAT in Central and Eastern Europe“, says Tomasz Zarzycki, Groupe CAT Central and Eastern Europe Region Director.
